Cozy little get-away (5 stars from TripAdvisor/Flipkey Review)

Left on Feb 22, 2018 for a stay in Jan 2018

This was the perfect location for our couples annual snowmobile trip. The trail is right out the driveway.Trails were nicely groomed and plenty of snow. Foggy's restaurant was right at the end of the road too. The two bedroom cabin was perfect for our group of 4. Everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The fireplace was so nice to come home to after a day on the trails. We had an issue with the carbon monoxide detector going off and the owner came and fixed the problem immediately. (it was just a faulty detector) Plenty of room to park the truck and trailer. We hope to come back to this cottage again in the future.

My family and I enjoyed our stay Evergreen Cottage in the Pictured Rocks area. The cottage was only 5 minutes from Munising and located in a nice quiet location. The cottage was clean and ready for our stay when we arrived. The owners have definitely been busy updating the property and the changes made the space very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage. Was also an easy drive to Au Train to explore the township.

Bright cottage in woods ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite the rain, we enjoyed sightseeing and hiking in Munising area. And it was very nice to head back to Evergreen cottage in the evenings. Well kept, essential kitchen & bath supplies, very comfortable beds, a bright cottage tucked in quiet woods. Lazy nights spent watching Olympics and reading in a cozy setting. We even managed to have a fire in the outside pit one night. Would love to return for a fall color trip in the area.

The cottage was clean and organized upon arrival. Loved the available a mentor s(towels, stove, fridge, pots/pans, utensils, etc). Thankful this cottage was dog-friendly as my dog enjoyed running around the spacious backyard. Perfect location to enjoy quiet time in the cottage, while being close to the beach and restaurants. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend to a friend!

We stayed at the Evergreen Cottage for our honeymoon. We really liked the location and the wooded backyard with a creek, and the cottage had everything we needed. We enjoyed the Pictured Rocks cruise and hiking to waterfalls and other landmarks. Thanks!

The cottage was absolutely awesome!!! Perfect location to visit the Pictured Rocks, waterfalls, short drive to the Soo Locks, Taq. Falls and Oswalds. We had an incredible vacation. My husband, 3 kids and 2 dogs were very happy at the cabin, it is very private. We were very comfortable with letting the kids and dogs in the yard with no worries. We will definitely come back again next year. The rental process is so easy, the cabin is perfect, I just cant say enough how happy we were with our choice. Thank you so much!! We are counting the days to come back again!!

Great place to stay. Clean, well stocked, so close to the
trailhead and casino. Affordable priced. Beautiful little stream in
the backyard. Although close to amenities it's still a very private
setting. Will definitely be back! 5 star cottage!

Evergreen Cottage was perfect for our 3-generation family vacation.
Perfect for aging grandparents and a special needs 7-yr old. Lisa's
daughter and niece babysat for us one evening and did just great with
our developmentally delayed, non-verbal daughter. Wild blueberries in
season in the backyard was the perfect touch. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband, son, parents and I had a lovely stay in your cottage in May.
Everything was just as promised, and very comfortable. We had
everything we need to make several meals at home, which was great. We
found the location convenient to everything, especially as it was close
to Munising with the major supermarket. We took several day trips to
waterfalls in the area, and to the Pictured Rocks area. Unfortunately
the wildfires prevented us from visiting Seney - maybe next time! Thank
you again for your hospitality.

A very comfortable cottage..the gas fireplace and the beds were very
welcome after our wet days (including a fun kayaking afternoon). It was
a repeatable experience! (Even hearing the funny crane calls in the back).

We had a great time at the Evergreen Cottage and this was our second
trip there. We enjoyed the easy access to the snowmobile trails and the
at home feel the cottage offered. We will likely come back many more times.

My family & I really enjoyed staying at the cottage. Trail #419 was one
block away, so it was an excellent location for us to snowmobile from.
Would love to come back with friends yet this season if the cottage is
availible. Lisa was A+++++ to work with on our last minute reservations.
Also, Kim the owner (also A++++++) stopped in to see if we needed
anything. Thank-you again.

Email from guest of Evergreen Cottage - spring 2009:

Hi Lisa,
We're glad the extra night worked out. We had a great time! Did a lot
of hiking and saw 15 different waterfalls. This get away was exactly
what we needed.
We really enjoyed the cabin also. Very cute - and clean! Nice location
and we appreciated the privacy the place offered. (We live in the
country with a woods behind us) We hope to come back.
My husband would LOVE to hike from Grand Marais to Munising!
We did a wonderful 10 mile hike in Pictured Rocks - just beautiful!!
No black flies at all our whole trip. I think it was just cool enough
(and
windy) to keep them away. Lucky us!
I am hoping the next trip to the U.P. will be in the fall -I have your
site bookmarked.
Thanks Lisa.

What a beautiful coooool part of the country. We enjoyed our visit there.
I slept like a log every nite we were there. The black flies and
mosquitos were something to deal with and I found out that the
repellant works pretty good. We had a wonderful time sightseeing and
relaxing. Thanks again Liza!

This was a great place to get away for the weekend. We visited all of
the local sites and enjoyed our quiet time here. We brought our dogs
and they loved the freedom from Chicago and playing in the stream!
We'll definately be back!!

One of the best vacations yet. If you are interested in Iron Mining
History, this is THE central location! The cottage was adorable;
overlooked the lake, was neat and clean and had all the amenities of home.
Our cocker spaniel "DaisyMae" enjoyed it as well.
Thanks for the wonderful accommodations Lisa and Tom

Had a wonderful 4th of July week visiting family in the area. The cabin
was comfortable, roomy and nicely furnished. We had everything we
needed. Easy to get back and forth to Munising and all the surrounding
attractions. Thanks for making our stay a pleasant one!

We came up and saw the Pictured Rocks and several waterfalls and other
historical features around town. The weather was great this whole
weekend and we (family of 5) absolutely loved the cabin. Plenty of beds
and blankets, fully equipped kitchen, everything was comfortable and
clean, and there was even charcoal in the grill! We were impressed. The
landscape here is lovely and we spent lots of time outside, but it was
nice to have a home away from home to crash at at the end of the day.

What a wonderful place! Not only did we have some great
accommodations, but the scenery was just as grand. The weather was cold
and snowy, what more could six Hoosiers ask for? The trails provided
loads of fun and lots of great pictures that we?ll enjoy while we tell
our stories about the week. We?ll look forward to coming back again and
know this is definitely THE place to stay! Thanks to both of you for your hospitality!

Drove up from down state on a sunny 40 degree day. O.k. for driving
but not for the sleds. Rode 38 miles of mixed mud slush. Our saving
graces are the beautiful accommodations. Nice job on the cabin! Waiting
for the predicted snow and telling lies.
Enough snow to ride, 400 plus miles in 3 days. As luck would have it,
snow began to fall on our last day, no complaints. Good friends, good times!

We used the cabin as our ?base camp? (and ?back-packed? to Baraga, Calumet, and Ishpeming.) The snow was a little thin at the beginning of
the week, but we managed to put on almost 1000 miles! The cabin is
great and thanks for stocking up on the coffee and supplies for us. We
really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year!

For most of us, this was our first visit to Pictures Rocks. We had a
wonderful time. We spent time at Miners Beach, went charter fishing in
Lake Superior (caugt 12 lake trout) and of course, went to the falls
and the lookout over pictured rock. The cabin was just as cute as
described and ideal for relaxing and making some home cooked meals.
Thank you for all your hospitality, we really had a great time!
