Lakeside
Cottage is conveniently located so you can enjoy the many attractions
and recreational activities in the area. The Western Entrance
to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand
Island , Lake Superior , and area boat tours are just 10 minutes
away in Munising. Lakeside Cottage is a cozy and very clean 2
bedroom 1 bathroom cottage, on
a 440 acre lake perfect for swimming, fishing and water
sports! This lake is a well
known bass lake. Besides bass there is northern pike, perch
and catfish. This is one of the largest spring fed lakes
in God’s Country and has many islands! The
cottage is approximately 1,000 sq.ft. and is roomy enough for
up to 8 guests.
The cottage is smoke free and able to accept well behaved dogs
for an additional fee. The cottage sits on a 1.2 acre lot, one
of the largest on this lake and has a panaramic view. There is
a sandy beach for little ones to build castles, swimming and
water fun. There is a sand volleyball court beside the house
for a game or two. The Master bedroom has one Queen size bed,
bedside table and reading lamp, closet, dresser and a private
entry to outside. The Loft has one Queen size bed, one Double
size bed and twin size beds, a dresser and box fans for the windows.
The bathroom has a shower, towels, included The fully furnished
cottage has a wonderful view of the lake with a wood burning
fireplace, TV with a few channels, Dvd Player (bring your movies
for rainy days!) and a stereo with speakers hooked into the screened
porch! The complete kitchen has a microwave, coffee pot, pots
and pans, dishes, silverware, basic spices, full refrigerator,
stove and oven. There is a screened in porch for relaxing and
enjoying the view of the lake and the Hiawatha National Forest
or reading that new book. There is also a table and chairs for
additional dining. The deck on the side of the house has outdoor
furniture with a Charcoal grill for a delicious barbeque and
a fire pit for your evening campfires. Sit around the bonfire
and look at the starlit sky or roast some hot dogs or marshmallows.
A generous supply of firewood is provided. Don't feel like cooking?
The Buckhorn Restaurant and Lounge is only 5 miles away. Get
ready for some fun at the lake. Bring your water toys and enjoy
the sand swimming beach and long dock for sunning. The all sports
lake is great for waterskiing, tubing, canoeing, and great fishing.
You might catch northern pike, musky, bass, perch, or some panfish
for a wonderful meal. No phone in this cottage, but your cell
phone will work outside!
