Four
Seasons Rustic Cabin in the Woods
There is
nothing like being in the great outdoors, especially in God's Country! The Rustic Cabin offers
camping at its finest in a hand built log cabin. Nestled on 24 acres
of wooded wonderland, you will have lots of room for hunting, exploring
and relaxing. Bring a carry in boat or canoe to fish on Nevins
Lake (don't forget your waders!), which is 200 feet from the cabin. Explore
nature by day and come back to the cabin at night for campfires,
reading by gas lights or turn in early to listen to all the sounds
of the night!
The
Rustic Cabin sleeps four comfortably and has a small
screened in front porch. The small kitchen has a gas stove
for cooking, counter, a few cupboards for storing your food staples,
table and chairs, and a sink to fill with dish water, heated
on the gas stove! For your cooking needs there are some
pots and pans, plates, cups and silverware . The gas lights
give off enough light to enjoy games after dark or read that
book you haven't had time for. A futon couch downstairs
turns into a double bed at night and there are two twin beds
in the loft, which is accessed by a very sturdy, hand built ladder! Fire
pit outside the cabin and outdoor chairs. Plenty of wood
scattered around to use in the wood burning stove inside or for
the fire pit. The
outhouse is in great condition! No electricity and no water
inside the cabin. All the other amenities are there to make
you feel like you're camping at home.
So, if you're looking for a more rustic experience in Upper Michigan
and don't feel like bringing your tents or campers, The Rustic
Cabin is for you! If you have a larger group and
want to pitch tents or bring in a small camper, please inquire about
additional rates. Our location is perfect for viewing wildlife,
and to enjoy your peace and quiet! We are close to many trails
for hiking, biking and ORVing; parks, waterfalls, the Kingston Plaines
(great for blueberry picking!), and other beautiful places. Take
a ride into Kingston Lake , park in the boat launch parking area
and hike the 4 mile trip to Lake Superior via the Fox River Trail! What's
camping without your pets? Your pets are welcome at The
Rustic Cabin , but please mention them when inquiring!
We are centrally located on the Adams Trail, popular for snowmobiling
and great for hunting, hiking, and fishing between Munising and Grand
Marais and very close to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Park
, with more great trails, camping and other outdoor activities.
